In June 2023, in three concerts in St Brendan's Church, Bantry as part of the West Cork Chamber Music Festival, Ruth Padel read three sequences of poems between The Rosary (or Mystery) Sonatas by Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber, written around 1676 and played by Ensemble Vintage Köln, led by violinist Ariadne Daskalakis.

This May, Ruth opens the Khushwant Singh Literary Festival, London and appears at the Athens City Festival.

In her latest column for Prospect, Ruth looks at a poem by multi-award-winning poet and novelist Kei Miller.

On 27th April 2023, Ruth will give the first New York performance of haunting poems from her T. S. Eliot Prize-shortlisted collection Learning to Make an Oud in Nazareth, between performances of Haydn’s music by world-renowned Brentano String Quartet.

Ruth will open the Cheltenham Poetry Festival on 20th April 2023 with her Watershed poems, talking to environmental campaigner Jonathan Porritt.

Ruth Padel's new pamphlet of poems, Watershed (Hazel Press), will be launched at the London Review Bookshop on March 16th.

Ruth has started a monthly column on reading a poem at Prospect.

In 2020, Ruth recorded Twenty-Four Splashes of Denial, poems on water and climate change, for Writers Rebel. Composer Vic Sharma has now set them to music. Ruth's new pamphlet, Watershed, based on Twenty-Four Splashes of Denial, is coming soon with Hazel Press.
